Project teams are moving away from the click two earn games that hurt the community earlier this year. They are now focusing on long-term games that have a ton of potential and are fun to play. Once the bear market lets up, the sky is the limit for WAX!

Games to Keep An Eye On
Apex Conquest
Apex Conquest comes to you from the same team that developed Metasource Castles. This is a battle game that will bridge the gap with several other popular games on WAX. Players will need at least one commander and ten troops to battle the Dark Gate. If successful, then you will be rewarded with game tokens from some of the more popular games. Apex Conquest will be launching soon and has the potential to be a top 10 game.

Music Mogul
From the same team that brought us Blockchain Brawlers, they recently announced a game called Music Mogul. This game will allow you to build a music empire with NFTs. Based on the team’s track record, it’s worth keeping an eye on Music Mogul.
When writing this list, the team did one drop that sold out very quickly. This shows how popular this game is, especially during a bear market.

Novopangea
Novopangea recently launched on WAX and provides a good balance of entry points for all different levels of players. The game’s goal is to acquire lands, buildings, mines, and skilled workers to build up your Novopangea empire. You can choose from seven realms, each having its own benefits and challenges. Keep an eye on this game. It has a lot of potential.

Splinterlands
Splinterlands is one of the OGs of the WAX blockchain and continues to be a strong project. It’s a card-based game that focuses on PVP battles, but recently the team has been adding more and more to the game. For a game that has been around so long, it doesn’t get the attention it deserves.

Blockchain Brawlers
If I had the WAX to jump into a new game that I’m not currently playing, it would be Blockchain Brawler. The development team is connected to the WAX.io team, so they are solid and here for the long run. The graphics are unique, and there aren’t many sports or wrestling-themed games on WAX.
Blockchain Brawlers dropped a number of spots on the list this month since the gameplay is currently paused as they transition from the token minting phase to PvP. The PvP gameplay has a lot of potential so that they could climb right back up the Sept top 10 list.

Immersys
Immersys is a multiplayer 3d adventure game that currently focuses on gathering and crafting but recently added the battle feature. It reminds me of a very early NFT version of world of warcraft… very early since the storyline is not available yet. So if you like the grinding kind of game, you should look at this since it has a Free to Earn option.
Over the last month, the team made several adjustments to the gathering side of the game, including a higher drop rate of NFTs. The higher rate makes the game more rewarding for players and compete with the other top games on WAX.

Waxel World
Waxel World is a ninja-based pixel art play-to-earn game. The player controls an army of skilled ninjas that roam through the countryside, trying to rescue civilians. With the civilians and ninja army, the player will build a settlement full of NFT items, resources, and professions.
The game officially launched mid-July and quickly moved up the Top 10 list. With the Housing Expansion announcement, there are many great things to be excited about for Waxel World!

Million On Mars
Million on Mars just missed the top 4 list this month, but it shouldn’t be overlooked.
This may be an excellent option for players looking for a play-to-earn space game that allows you to build a virtual settlement on Mars by Scavenging for resources across the Martian terrain. Purchase land, equipment, and buildings on Mars to craft a lucrative homestead of your dreams. Unite forces with fellow players to build settlements in the player-driven economy.
Overall the game is fun and strategy based, which is rare compared to the standard click-to-earn games that have overrun WAX. It worth a look if you like this kind of genre and style of game.

Farming Tales
Farming Tales is the second game I ever played on WAX, and it instantly became one of my favorites. Over eight months later, it’s still on the list. It is undoubtedly the best farming game on Wax, and there isn’t anything even close to it.
This is a 3D NFT game that allows players to manage a virtual farm. Grow crops, tend to livestock and turn the products into valuable goods that you can trade in New Waxchester for SEST and real-world goods.
Farming Tales slid back one spot to 4 this month because of the delay with New Waxchester. Once released, this has the potential to be the top game on WAX!

Realm
Realm made a huge jump this week, moving to number 3 on the list this month and I believe is very underrated. It is a resource management game that has a lot of fun aspects to it. With strategy, seasonal competitions, and the satisfaction of building your own cities throughout the world, make this game a top contender on WAX. So don’t sleep on Realm. It’s one of the most complete games on WAX at this point.

Taco Universe
The Taco Universe is an excellent combination of utility and gaming platforms that connects to many popular games on WAX. If you have been on WAX for a while, you probably used or heard of the Taco app. It is the first WAX app approved for iOS and Android, allowing you to play several popular games from one convenient app. In addition to the utility, the Taco development team has build out a gaming platform that hosts both their games and third-party games.
The team just announced a new coin (Oni coin) that will go a long with 3 new games that they will be launching shortly.
The utility and gaming have made the Taco Universe ecosystem more stable than other projects on WAX. They also have a solid community for support and entertainment.

Castles
Castles is my top game on the WAX blockchain again this month. The team continues to develop the game with more events announced last month proactively. They will be doing two more crafting events in August (Miner and Blacksmith Guild) that lead right into their Dungeon Expansion. They also announced a Free to Play option that will be launching soon!
The Castles game is NFT-based medieval land ownership, building wealth, influence, and glory on the WAX blockchain. As a player, you will merge lands, build limited-time wonders, and gear up your heroes to build the largest kingdom possible.
